Mini App
For the MINI App, I worked with Monacoframe as DP on five short commercial vignettes. The concept: each vignette presents a relatable everyday car situation — finding your parking spot, planning a route, booking a service appointment, personalizing your car — shown twice. Once in the 1970s, once today. Back then: effort, chaos, improvisation. Now: open the app, done.
The visual language of the two eras was deliberately contrasted. For the past sequences, we used Canon FD vintage lenses on the RED V-Raptor, paired with static framing and a strong film print emulation in the grade — grainy, warm, analog. The present-day scenes were shot handheld with modern lenses, dynamic and clean, almost cool in comparison. Two shoot days in Munich, two visual worlds, one clear message.
