Sportec Ferdinand S Launch

For the presentation of the FERDINAND S, I had the privilege of taking on the role of Director of Photography and overseeing the visual concept of the film. The goal was not simply to showcase a vehicle, but to make its attitude, precision, and passion truly tangible.

The camera approach was twofold: For the abstract, narrative-driven elements, we used a RED V-Raptor paired with Canon FD vintage lenses. This combination provided a soft, organic look that perfectly complemented the emotional tone of the story sequences.

For the technical detail shots of the vehicle, both the RED V-Raptor and RED Komodo were used – this time with Canon RF lenses, delivering a crisp, modern aesthetic. The interplay of these two visual worlds – one evoking an analog feel, the other offering razor-sharp clarity – created a compelling visual tension.

We shot under challenging lighting conditions: from sunrise to harsh midday sun to fading twilight – all dictated, as usual, by time constraints. To bring out the vehicle’s contours and design, we relied on precise lighting, controlled bounce surfaces, and carefully choreographed camera movements.

The final film is a visual statement – defined by technical precision and stylistic freedom.
